Results 15th February 2012

Sunshine arrived at Branxton on Wednesday!! 12 of our ladies hit the course as we played our first Monthly Medal round for the year. 18 holes of stroke was tuff as all of us are a little rusty from the break however we made it through and the winners were grinners all the same!!

Winner: with 79 Nett went to Diane Atton who also received our first medal which goes onto Diane’s golfing apparel.

Runner up was Jan Scobie with 80 Nett

Whilst the course played long this week – the putting was pretty good – our balls went to Zelma Powell with an outstanding 27 putts, Jeanette Irwin and Jan Scobie with 30 putts. Well done girls!

NTP- Caren Caldwell

Next week NTP for nest of balls is 180cm and we will play the Patroness Round One 18 hole Stableford.

Our ladies begin the first SCRATCH pennants round this coming week. I wish us great success and good golf. Our team this week is – Melita Watson, Caren Caldwell, Sue Williams, Helen Vandenbruggen and Carol Miller. Good Luck!

A note for your diaries please – due to differing circumstances dates for the following have been changed

The KENO Mixed 4BBB qualifier will now be held on SUNDAY 20th May in lieu of Wednesday 30th. The playoff will be at Branxton on SUNDAY 27th May 2012.

An entry sheet will be on the board as of next week for any interested players.

As Keno changed so has the mixed foursome’s championship – this event will be held on SUNDAYS 22nd and 29th JULY 2012. Two rounds.

ON COURSE:

During play, competition or practice round, “please” fill in your divots on the fairways with sand, and repair ball marks on the putting greens – they do not repair themselves!!!

*It is compulsory to carry a sand bucket with you while playing.

*Make sure you take one and use it!

*You should also always have a divot tool on hand when you’re on the putting greens.

*If you see a divot or pitch mark – PLEASE repair it, even if you didn’t do it!
