On June 14th 2009 Branxton Golf Club welcomed a new Professional team. Golf to the Max
Golf To The Max took over the contract for the golf operations at the club. Golf To The Max currently has contracts with The Oaks Golf Club, Cypress Lakes Resort, Hunter Valley Aqua Golf and the Hunter Academy of Sport.
THE TEAM
Golf To The Max is owned and operated by Kieran & Kristine McMahon. Kieran has over 16 years as a PGA Member having spent time at Eastlakes Golf Club, Dubbo Golf Club and Nelson Bay Golf Club to his current roles as head teacher with the Hunter Academy of Sport along with overseeing the running of all Golf To The Max venues. Kristine is a very capable golfer playing off a 7 handicap and is the glue that keeps the behind the scenes together while keeping the wheels rolling on a day to day basis at Aqua Golf.
“We all believe that Branxton has huge potential for social clubs and groups in the down times on weekends” says Kieran who along with the team are keen to work with a number of social clubs to bring them here throughout the 2010 season.
THE SHOP
We are excited by the way we have been welcomed to the club by all of the Members and we look forward to continuing this relationship into the future. Golf to the Max will always be able to cater for your needs with a fully stocked Pro Shop. We are happily noting a number of regular customers already and welcome you to come in and have a browse around. The benefits we have over our competitors is that we have stock in three locations, which means if you can’t find your size or colour, please ask and we can check our other venues with delivery to you the very next day.
REPAIRS
Having just completed fitting out our repair room we are now able to do all repairs with a quick turnaround. If your grip is feeling slippery on the club or you feel you would like your grips thickened (arthritic grips available) drop your clubs in and we can offer a huge variety in the latest grips available (pink included). Golf to the Max also has access to the latest repair technology at our Golf Surgery for even the trickiest repairs.
LESSONS/TUITION
With 4 PGA Members on staff we offer teaching to all levels of golfer, our lessons are conducted at Cypress Lakes resort. Book a lesson now and take advantage of the 5 star amenities, there is a 350m driving range, chipping green and putting green. From beginner lessons to playing lessons we can cover all your golfing needs. We have just started our Junior Clinics at Aqua Golf (Hunter Valley Gardens) on a Sunday morning between 9am – 10am. The cost is $50 for a 6 week period where the kids will graduate with a handicap. – GREAT FUN

We are just about to introduce a ball comp every day of the week for $2. Every time you enter you will receive entry in the end of week draw for the major prize, so you don’t even need to play well on the day, to win the major prize !
Two new competitions we are looking to introduce with the support of the Members is the Taylor Made Scorecard Challenge and the Pro-Am “Last Man Standing”. The Taylor Made Scorecard Challenge is an eclectic event where the winner will receive an R-9 Driver valued at $599 and the last man standing event is a raffle where Members can buy tickets, and 9 names will be drawn out to play over 9 holes with the worst score dropping out until there is only 1 person left who will win a $500 Pro-Shop voucher.
