GOLF COURSE OPEN

7 August 2022

Modified course and playing conditions remain in place. Carts are allowed on the course, subject to daily inspections of the course. Updates will be posted when available.

Course and playing conditions will change as the course recovers and/or if the weather further impacts the course. Check with the pro shop and read all noticeboards before playing.

Check for updates (including Facebook) or ring the club on (02) 4938 1421 for further information.

CART USAGE ON THE GOLF COURSE

The recent rainfall that the course has received means that the condition of the course is changing from day to day. Check with the pro shop to see if golf carts are allowed on the course prior to playing. If carts are allowed on course, they are to be driven on cart paths and in other designated areas. Stay off the fairways please in order to help with the recovery of the course. There are still some areas on the course that are very wet. These areas have been roped off and carts are not to be driven in them. Follow instructions given by pro shop and club staff regarding the use of carts on the course.

Golf Operations Committee

25 July 2022

The Branxton Golf Club Co-Op Ltd has come a long way since it was first established in 1921.’The Ultimate Nine’ has challenged golfing greats such as Billy DUNK, Ian STANLEY, Peter LONARD, Nathan GREEN, Andre STOLTZ and many more. Until tighter economic conditions caused the withdrawal, the signature event of the year had been the XSTRATA Coal LPGA Pro-AM. Branxton has been most fortunate to see regular fields of national and international golfers compete on the course over the years. Amongst the winners were Laura DAVIES, Sarah KEMP, Tamara JOHNS & Rachael BAILEY. Several of our members have been with the club for over 50 years, while our juniors are making their marks in today’s golfing scene

Branxton Golf Course is a well maintained par 70, 9 hole course. Alternate tee positions are provided for most holes for an 18 hole game of 5547 metres. The course features two par 5’s, four par 4’s and three par 3’s each with their own challenges. Additional Tees are provided for women’s competition.

It is compulsory to carry a sand bucket with you while playing
please make sure you take one and use it!

You should also always have a divot tool on hand when you’re on the
putting greens
If you see a divot or pitch mark please repair it, even if you didn’t do it!

Members Programs & Results

Women’s

Juniors

Branxton Junior Golf clinics are scheduled to run on Tuesday afternoons during Term 1 and Term 4 of the school year. We meet at 4:15pm ready to start by 4:30pm, with children from 6 to 18 are welcome to come along and join in.

We have a group of volunteers who take the children through the basic swings in golf putting, chipping and full swing. Rules and etiquette are also discussed during each session. Each session lasts about 20-25 minutes and the clinics finish no later than 6 o’clock.

For the more experienced golfers we also offer holes to play during the clinic times to improve their course management and shot making skills.

We love donations, particularly pre-loved golf balls. If you have any please give them to our Professional and he will ensure their safe delivery to the junior golfers.

Please consider golf for your children. It is a lifelong sport and a great ways to make friends and stay healthy.

Service NSW Active Kids Voucher

Branxton Golf Club is an approved provider for the Active Kids Voucher. As of 1 July 2019 all eligible children can register to receive a second $100 voucher to be used towards sporting activities. Use this voucher for your child’s membership.
